Safety Features

At Grand Strand Nissan in Myrtle Beach, we want all of our customers to be safe and we hope you'll feel more assured knowing that the Nissan Rogue comes with many safety features. It's been built with an advanced air bag system that can protect you from impact in various ways, as there are air bags mounted on the seats, in the roof, and in the front of the car.

The LATCH system makes it easier to secure child seats, and the tire pressure monitoring system will let you know when individual tires need more air. Further, the way the vehicle has been built works in your favor. There are crumple zones that can absorb some forces generated in an accident, and the steering column has also been designed to absorb energy.

In addition to all of these standard components, the Nissan Rogue has several driver-assist systems that can help you prevent accidents. Every Nissan Rogue comes with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, so you'll have a better chance at avoiding frontal collisions with other vehicles or pedestrians in your path.

The Rogue comes standard with Intelligent Lane Intervention, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and these can all work to keep you from getting in harm's way. High Beam Assist can be quite convenient when you're driving in more remote areas, as it can switch the high beams on and off as needed, depending on whether other vehicles are around you.

Each trim level comes standard with a Rear-View Monitor, and the higher trims can come with an Intelligent Around View Monitor to give you a more complete perspective of what's around you. The higher trims also have a rear sonar system and rear automatic braking, so the chances of you backing into an object are greatly reduced.

The cabin of the new Nissan Rogue is nicely appointed. Depending on your trim, you could have a manual driver's seat or a power-operated one, covered in leather and equipped with a heating element. The back row has a 40/20/40 seat, giving you the option to lower one, two, or three setbacks down to create more storage space. High-end touches, like a heated steering wheel wrapped in leather, chrome interior door handles, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror are also available.

New Nissan Rogue SUV

In many ways, the 2020 Nissan Rogue feels futuristic. Surfside Beach drivers can have their Rogue equipped with ProPILOT Assist, which is an advanced cruise control system in which your car can adjust its speed to maintain proper distancing with other vehicles. Another very convenient system to have is the NissanConnect infotainment system.

The new Rogue comes standard with:

  • Seven-inch touchscreen that's user-friendly
  • Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility
  • Bluetooth®
  • Hands-free text messaging assistant
  • SiriusXM Radio
  • CD player

You'll have plenty of entertainment options and will be able to stay in touch with your contacts, all while keeping your hands on the wheel. Two USB ports are included on the Nissan Rogue so your devices can stay charged, and the auxiliary audio input jack can be used to connect certain devices to your entertainment system.

The higher trims feature a Bose premium audio system that has nine speakers (in contrast to the standard four-speaker system), and they have navigation, voice recognition, and SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link. If you have these extras, you'll probably soon find yourself relying on them.

Trim Options

There are three trims available, the first being the S. For an entry-level model, the S is pretty impressive. It runs on the same engine that the other trims have, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. You can choose between Eco, Sport, and Normal driving modes if you want to change things up.

The S has 17-inch steel wheels, LED taillights, LED Daytime Running Lights, and a rear spoiler. Roof rails are an option if you think you'll ever be carrying larger items with your Rogue. Interior highlights include remote keyless entry, three 12-volt DC power outlets, tie-down hooks in the cargo area, and numerous storage compartments to help keep your car neat and organized.

The SV is the mid-level option. Like the other trims, it can come as either a front-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle. The SV gets upgraded to have 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, chrome door handles, heated outside mirrors with LED turn signal indicators, and standard roof rails. It also has a motion activated liftgate that you'll appreciate whenever your hands are full.

Some of its interior enhancements include:

  • Dual-zone automatic temperature control system
  • Push-button start
  • Remote engine start
  • Power-operated driver's seat
  • Heated front seats

If you really like luxury, you'll love the SL. While still being offered for a competitive price, it has numerous upgrades. When looking at the car from the outside, you'll notice its 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and fog lights, and like the SV, it can come with a dual panel panoramic moonroof.

The Rogue SL is the only trim to have leather seats and a HomeLink Universal Transceiver, which works like a garage door opener. Plus, it has both a power-operated driver's seat and passenger's seat in addition to a memory system for the driver's seat.
