Nissan Altima Performance

There are two engine options available with the Nissan Altima. The standard option is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder 188-horsepower engine. There is the option to choose a 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, 248-horsepower engine on the Platinum and SR trims.

For everyday driving, the base engine offers plenty of power, while the turbocharged model packs an added punch.

The Nissan Altima with the base engine achieves a fuel economy of 28 mpg city driving and 39 mpg highway driving. For the midsize sedan class, those are outstanding figures. With the turbocharged engine, the Altima achieves 25 mpg city driving and 34 mpg highway driving.

The Altima offers a comfortable and smooth ride and handles turns confidently. Front-wheel drive comes standard, and all-wheel drive is optional.

Nissan Altima Technology

Standard technology features on the Altima include an infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 8-inch touchscreen, Siri Eyes Free, satellite radio, Bluetooth, 6-speaker sound system, and two USB ports.

Optional or upgraded technology features include a premium 9-speaker Bose stereo, HD radio, and navigation.

Nissan Altima Interior

The Nissan Altima seats up to five individuals. It comes standard with cloth upholstery and an 8-way adjustable driver's seat. Available interior upgrades include a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, sport seats, and leather upholstery.

The Altima offers plenty of passenger space and the seats are very comfortable. This sedan features a very modern cabin with a clean and sleek design. There is a total of 15.4 cubic feet of space in the trunk.

Nissan Altima Trim Options

The Nissan Altima is available in five different trim levels. The standard engine on each trim is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder 188-horsepower engine. For the sportiest performance, choose the Altima Platinum or Altima SR, which comes equipped with a turbocharged 2-liter four-cylinder 248-horsepower engine. Those models also have more safety features. You can choose all-wheel drive for all trims except for those with turbocharged engines.

Altima S

This base trim is fully equipped with a long list of standard features. They include forward auto emergency braking, forward collision warning, a rearview camera, 8-way adjustable driver's seat, cloth upholstery, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, and remote start.

Infotainment standard features include satellite radio, Bluetooth, two USB ports, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, 8-inch touchscreen, and NissanConnect infotainment system.

There is an optional Driver Assist package. It includes all of the standard safety features that come with the SR trim level.

Altima SR

The SR comes standard with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, pedestrian detection, auto high-beam headlights, rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and reverse auto emergency braking. A sport-tuned suspension comes with front-wheel drive models.

The SR trim can be equipped with the optional turbocharged engine. There is also an SR Premium package that comes with heated front seats and a moonroof.

Altima SV

This trim comes standard with ProPilot Assist, lane centering, forward auto emergency braking, and following distance indicator. It also comes equipped with dual-zone auto climate control and the Premium package contents.

Altima SL

This trim adds leather-appointed seats, traffic sign recognition, Bose 9-speaker stereo, HD Radio, and navigation.

Altima Platinum

Surround-view parking cameras are added on the Platinum trim. The turbo-four engine is also available as an option.
