New Nissan Altima

Why the Nissan Altima is a Smart Choice Versus the Competition in Myrtle Beach

Why Choose the Nissan Altima

Sleek, sophisticated, and stylish, the Nissan Altima is the ideal vehicle for many drivers here in the Myrtle Beach area. It offers you all-wheel-drive as well as a full suite of driver aids to help make your commute safer. You will also find the latest and greatest when it comes to available technology features inside the Altima. All models feature smartphone integration through both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, for example. You also get an 8-inch touchscreen for controlling your infotainment system.

You have two engine options when it comes to the Altima. First up is a 2.5L four-cylinder that will generate 188-horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. The second is a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder. With this, your Altima gives you 248-horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with a continuously variable transmission.

Now that you know a bit more about what the Altima has to offer you, the team here at Grand Stand Nissan would like to show you how it stacks up to the competition.

Nissan Altima vs. Honda Accord

The Altima offers you Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, which continually monitors road conditions in Surfside Beach and makes adjustments as needed. This is not an option on the Accord, however. There is no all-wheel-drive option for the Accord, intelligent or otherwise.

It is also worth noting that the Altima offers you a variable compression turbo engine that can make adjustments to become either more powerful or more efficient, depending on the situation. Once again, this is not an option if you go with the Accord.

Inside, the Altima offers up more front legroom than the Accord. It also does not charge you extra for adding Apple CarPlay. Further putting the Altima ahead of the Accord are the standard USB-C ports, which are not an available option for the Accord.

Safety-wise, the Altima gives you a tire pressure monitoring system with tire fill alert and offers you rear automatic braking and Intelligent Forward Collision Warning. These are not options for the Accord.

Nissan Altima vs Toyota Camry

Once again, the Camry does not offer any all-wheel-drive or the variable compression turbo engine. While both vehicles give you Apple CarPlay, Android Auto is not available in the Camry while standard on the Altima. You also have the option of adding a key-activated remote engine start to the Altima. This is not included for the Camry.

Inside, the Altima once again offers more legroom. You'll find 43.1-inches, which beats out the Camry's 42.1-inches considerably.Like the Accord, the Camry does not offer USB-C ports, making the Altima the right choice for those in Murrels Inlet who like the most cutting-edge tech.

Nissan Altima vs Kia Optima

Another midsize sedan you may be considering is the Kia Optima. First, it is important to note once again that the Optima does not offer the intelligent all-wheel-drive system or any other all-wheel-drive option. For many drivers in Conway SC, that alone may be a deal-breaker.

You also cannot get the efficient yet powerful variable compression turbo engine for the Optima. Need those USB-C ports? Better skip over the Optima, which does not include them, and stick with the Altima, which gives you them standard.

Although the Optima does offer a forward-collision warning system, it is not as advanced as the one available for the Altima. With Nissan's Intelligent Forward Collision Warning system, the Altima monitors not only the vehicle in front of you but the one in front of that one as well. This can help alert you to potential risks much quicker and give you more time to react. The Optima also does not offer the reverse automatic braking and tire pressure monitoring system with easy-fill alert.

Here at Grand Strand Nissan we hope this has encouraged you to make the quick drive from Little River SC to see for yourself why the Nissan Altima is the ideal sedan for you!
